a) MARRIAGE: South Wales Gazette - Friday 29 March 1946n NORSTER - KING The marriage was solemnised at St. Peter's Church, Blaina on Saturday, with the Rector, Rev. C. W. Kelly, B.A. officiating. of Able Seaman Leonard George Norster, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Norster. of 22, Churchstreet, Blaina, and Wren Evelyn Marion King, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard King, of Part-street, Blaina. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in W.R.N.S. uniform, and the bridegroom was also in uniform. The bridesmaids were Miss Margaret King, sister of the bride, who wore a brown dress with accessories to tone, and Miss Jean Norster, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a blue dress covered by a wine-coloured coat and blue accessories. The bride's mother wore a navy two-piece with accessories to tone, whilst the bridegroom's mother wore a pink dress covered with a navy coat with navy accessories. The reception was held at the bride's home and subsequently the happy couple left for Bournemouth for their honeymoon.
