Unusual as the title is, the Otago Times in New Zealand has reported on 2 occasions in 1908, that a NOSTER was a member of the football club committee, and also played in goal when they drew 1-1 with Laidlaw.   I have yet to find out which NOSTER this refers to.   There seems to be very little information on the football club, so I don’t even know if it still exists. ...

Can anyone help with any “Family Legends” they would like me to look into ?   I had heard of a couple :-   the Noster’s are descended from an Italian sailor who was shipwrecked on Portland   the Norster family came from Germany   the Norster family came from Norway   All these have been refuted, but if you have heard any other’s, I’d be pleased to look into it for you. ...
